Oliver Marsh
Managing Partner
Oliver has spent twenty years at the intersection of technology and venture capital. Before co-founding Latica Ventures, he served as VP of Product at two enterprise software companies that achieved successful exits, and as an EIR at a top-10 Silicon Valley fund. He led the firm's initial fundraise and sets overall investment strategy with a particular focus on developer infrastructure and AI tooling.
Oliver holds an MBA from Stanford GSB and a BS in Computer Science from MIT. He sits on the boards of four Latica portfolio companies and serves as an advisory board member at the Stanford Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
Claire Thornton
General Partner
Claire leads Latica's health technology and climate portfolios, drawing on her background as a biomedical engineer and former co-founder of a digital health startup acquired by a major hospital network in 2019. She brings a rigorous analytical lens to due diligence and a genuine empathy for the operational challenges facing early-stage health-tech founders.
Claire holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UCSF and is a frequent speaker at JPM Healthcare Conference and HLTH. She has published research on AI-assisted diagnostics in NEJM and Nature Medicine.
Aryan Mehta
Partner
Aryan focuses on future-of-work and B2B SaaS investments. He joined Latica after four years as a product manager at a Series B HR-tech company and two years as an angel investor deploying his own capital into 11 companies, three of which have gone on to raise institutional rounds. Aryan brings a product-centric diligence approach, spending significant time with early users before recommending an investment.
He graduated with honors in Economics and Statistics from UC Berkeley and holds an MS in Data Science from Columbia University. Aryan mentors at Y Combinator and First Round's community programs.
Sofia Langley
Principal
Sofia joined Latica from GV, where she spent three years as an investment analyst focused on consumer and marketplace businesses. Her transition to Latica deepens our relationship with GV and ensures continuity of diligence standards across the co-investment pipeline. Sofia leads sourcing across the Pacific Northwest and manages Latica's emerging-manager scout program.
Sofia holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. She is a founding member of the All Raise Bay Area chapter.
Declan Hayes
Associate
Declan supports the full investment lifecycle at Latica — from market mapping and deal sourcing to portfolio tracking and founder community management. He joined after completing a fellowship at a nonprofit focused on entrepreneurship in underserved communities, where he mentored 40+ early-stage founders. Declan manages Latica's monthly founder roundtables and annual LP summit.
He holds a BA in Public Policy from Georgetown University and is currently completing his MBA at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, part-time.
